As a type of polymer colloid material with multifunctional physicochemical properties, gels can combine a large number of fluid phases in their three-dimensional network structure to form advanced gel materials such as hydrogels, organogels, ionogels, oleogels or aerogels, etc., which have seen extensive and intensive research efforts and applications in various fields, including biology, medicine, chemistry, physics, and engineering, to name a few. In a macro economy that advocates green development, with the progress made in R&D and manufacturing process, advanced gel materials will play a pivotal role in food industry, biomedicine, health and beauty, soft electronics, sensors, catalysis, energy and chemical industry, aerospace, and energy saving and environmental protection industry, etc.
With two sessions' successful experience, the 3rd Advanced Gel Materials and Industrial Application Forum will be held on October 22-24, 2024 in Suzhou, which aims to actively explore the key issues and challenges in basic science, technical research and engineering applications of advanced gel materials met in the industrial application scenarios.
